New Adoptee Gets a Pet Portrait
Meet Scout! He came to us in March 2012 when his owners had to find a different home for him. Although he was very sad to lose his family of 8 years, from day one he accepted us as his new family. He is a lover and sensitive soul - yet a fearful dog of the world about him. We took him to an animal communicator who said he "just wants to find peace and know where he belongs". Well it was obvious to us that he belongs with us. We will work with him to give him more confidence and gain peace.

A theme song always seems to emerge for my fur kiddos. The theme song he came with is, "When I Get Where I'm Going" by Brad Paisley. "... I will leave my heart wide open. I will love and have no fear... "

Remembering the Dudley man with a painting
I did a painting of Dudley and found it was a nice way to remember him. Painting him required that I recall all the minuet details of his fur body. He had thin patches where the skin showed thru and some of his fur had a maroon tint. It was nice bringing his painting home in the car - almost as if he was riding on the seat next to me. Gracie liked the painting too.

Gracie gets her own painting
Here is Gracie with her very own portrait. It was a lot of fun to capture her smiley face.
She is wearing a t-shirt to cover her stitches after surgery to remove a few tumors. Dogs who are not spayed before their second heat have a 1 in 4 chance of developing mammary tumors. Mammary tumors have a 50/50 chance of being benign or malignent.
Being a puppymill dog means someone else profited while putting her future at risk.
